Mary “found favor with God” because of her faith (Luke 1:30)
Mary was set apart for God’s purpose to be the vessel to bring the Savior into our world. Though she was young, Mary was mature in her faith. Even when she did not understand how she would become pregnant as a virgin, she completely trusted God’s Word. She became the mother of Jesus and a model of steadfast faith for the world. When we have faith like Mary, we too will please God (cf. Hebrews 11:6).
