The Lord's Prayer - Relationships
OUR FATHER
This week, as we began our study of the Lord's Prayer, we focused on the very first words:
"Our Father."
Before Jesus teaches us what to pray, He reminds us who we're praying to.
Through faith in Christ, we are welcomed into God's family. We don't approach Him as strangers, but as beloved children. He invites us to come with confidence, honesty, and trust, knowing that He loves us, hears us, and cares for us.
"And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, 'Abba, Father.'" — Galatians 4:6
As you pray this week, take a moment to reflect on the incredible reality that the Creator of the universe is also your Father. His heart is open to you, and He delights in hearing from His children.
What difference would it make in your prayers if you truly believed God is a loving Father who wants to hear from you?
